13 x 5 Chicken Run Plan

Introduction

This is a stationary 13x5 chicken run design for entry-level farmers and builders. Its 65 square feet of space provides enough room for eight chickens to nest and roam. The gabled roof protects your chickens from even the harshest weather, and with proper insulation, it will provide safe shelter for them year round. With quality materials and construction, its design will also keep your flock safe from predators.

Multiple access doors allow for easy cleaning, checking of hatchlings, or harvesting of eggs. The specially designed hatching case makes this even more simple, with its hinged, lockable lid. Doors allow for entry both to the nesting shelter and the aviary, so you can go inside to reach those far corners for feeding or cleaning. The design also includes a ladder to allow the chicken's yard roaming access.
